By car

Option 1

Take the Inter-American Highway from San José, towards Cerro de la Muerte. You should pass by the cantons of Pérez Zeledón and Buenos Aires. You will find numerous activities, natural resources and cultural products of tourist interest in these places. From Buenos Aires follow the Inter-American Highway, arriving to the city of Palmar Norte, in the canton of Osa, Puntarenas. Once in Palmar Norte, you should follow the Inter-American route, passing the bridge over the Grande de Térraba river. Once you pass the bridge there is a crossing towards the communities of Palmar Sur and Sierpe, some five meters from the structure, on the right hand side. Follow this route for 8.7 km approximately, until finding a bailey bridge; it’s the only bridge there is before getting to Sierpe. Entrance to the Finca 6 Site Museum is on the left hand side. 

Option 2

Take Route 27 toward the Coastal Road from San José. You should pass by the cantons of Orotina, Garabito (Herradura & Jacó beaches), Parrita and Aguirre (Quepos). In these cantons you may find diverse activities, natural resources and cultural products of tourist interest you could like, mainly the coastal surroundings of great scenic and ecological value. Follow the route by the Coastal Road from Quepos; you should get to Ciudad Cortés by Uvita, in the canton of Osa, Puntarenas. There are many beaches and coastal envirnoments in Uvita and Bahía Ballena  you can visit. Back on the road you should arrive to Palmar Norte, pass over the Grande de Térraba river’s bridge. Having crossed the bridge, some five meters from the structure, on the right hand side, there is a crossing towards the communities of Palmar Sur and Sierpe. Follow this route approximately for 8.7 km, until you find a bailey bridge; it’s the only bridge there is before getting to Sierpe. Entrance to the Finca 6 Site Museum is on the left hand side.
